Yes it's that time of year again and Christmas is on it's way, so as it will be my kittie's 1st Christmas I thought I'd treat them to some handmade stockings which I'm going to stuff with treats & toys :o) I didn't want a normal boring stocking, I wanted something that would represent them, so I had a word with my friend at Forest Flower Designs and asked if she would be able to create something special for me :o) and that she did! Take a look for yourselves!...........

How fab are they?!! I'm really pleased with them and hope they love them just as much! Plus I'll be able to use them year after year :o) when me & Dr get our own place I'll have to get some made for us too!

Ok so Creative Connections are hosting a Christmas CRAFTfest on 26th-27th November over on their website. What's CRAFTfest? I hear you say...... well CRAFTfest is an ONLINE Craft Fair! Yes online! It will be online, ALL DAY over that weekend! So make sure you check it out! I have a stall ;o)

I was originally going to get fans to send in photo's of them wearing items they've bought from me but no one seemed interested :o( I also looked into getting some models to take some photo's for me but the way I intended doing it proved a lil risky and could prove to cost me alot in the long run :o( so I've now decided to have a go at doing the modeling myself :o) only problem is I don't know which items to use for the photo's :oS That's where YOU come in!!! Okies so as you know (if you've been following my blog) I've developed a certain Green-Finger (or 2 lol) and have been growing some stuff. I've had some Chilli's on the go, been growing cress, have started an Amaryllis, have some herbs growing nicely and I've just started some Wild Rocket too! :o) also my gorgeous Dr bought me a Pepper Plant and an Aubergine Plant too :o) So here's some more pics to show you guys!

We really need to find us some new jobs so we can get us our own place then we can snuggle all the time :o) xXx

I dunno if its old age (since turning 30 lol) but I've been feeling very green-fingered lately and have started off some Chilli's which are now seedlings and am also growing some Cress which Dr bought me for my Buftdy :o) I also received some Amaryllis Seeds the end of last year and have been floating them California Style for the last 2 weeks. I nearly lost all hope as most of them sank which means they are non-viable :o( but there were 2 left floating and the other day I noticed a small root coming out of 1 of them! :o) So I've potted that up today too and left the other 1 floating incase that forms a root too! So me (being me lol) has took some photos to show you all!! :o)

Now I've just got the urge to grow more stuff!! :o) I might get meself one of them funky Herb Pots (would love a rainbow one!) and grow me some Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Coriander etc. to use in cooking as I've got the urge to start cooking more stuff too :o) might even convince my mom to grow some garlic in her veg plot in the garden (even tho she hates garlic) cos it sez it keeps the pests away which she would love lol :o)

Hopefully this is the start of trying to eat more healthier, but obviously it wont be fully in place until me and my lovely Dr get our own place :o( but we'll be spending next week together as we'll be housesitting for his sister :o) he's gonna be making Chicken Butters and a Lamb Roast and I've picked Fettuccine Carbonara and Lamb & Fetta Meatballs in Sweet and Sour Sauce :o) problem is I'm not sure wot to make to go with it as I got the recipes off the internet :oS am thinking about salad with the pasta but not sure wot to do with the meatballs? :oS Am thinking maybe some noodles? Will let you know how we get on and don't worry you know me so I'll be taking some photo's to show you lol :oP Hopefully too I'll have some time to work on my Kokokelli Website and see if I can finish the shop listings :o) then all I gotta do is make sure the shopping system is working properly and then the shop will finally be open!! :o) so fingers crossed!!!

Hey folks, soz I not been about lately, I seem to be going through abit of a bad patch :o( am just feeling generally low and unmotivated :o( am just a big emotional yo-yo at the moment. As a few of you may know I was made redundant from my job of 6yrs the end of march 2010 and have yet to find a new one :o( same for my boyf as he worked at the same place :o( I've not been feeling very crafty lately too and seemed to have lost my crafty mojo :o( I've not been promoting my business much on twitter either so my google analytics is at an all time low :o( I've still not finished the shop on my website cos I've just not felt upto doing it :o( me and Dr haven't been away for a weekend since feb 2010 cos we can't afford it :o( also I'm gonna be turning 30 in 10 days time and I spose a few things are hitting home :o( ...... a) I'm gonna be 30!, b) I'm still living with my folks as I have no job, c) me and Dr can't get our own place until we can find new jobs, d) me and dr can't have a baby until we can get our own place, e) lifes just poo! lol :o( just soooooooooo fed up! When am I gonna get a break?! :o( xXx

I was asked wot design I would like for my custom made card and as I love rainbow colours I was quick to put this idea forward lol :oP when asked wot I'd like for the actual card I mentioned about a fortune cookie I had many years ago and that the fortune inside had stuck in my mind for a while and it was "Live Your Dream, Don't Dream Your Life" so I ask her if she could incorporate this into the design :o) unfortunately she was unable to put any fortune cookies into the design but its still come out rather lovely :o)

Welcome to my Domain!!

Okies so I've been thinking about it for a while but I have now officially bought my own domain www.kokokelli.co.uk :o) and in the near future I will be setting up my own website where you'll be able to post custom order enquiries and hopefully buy my stuff straight from there too! How cool is that?!! Which means prices will be abit cheaper too (will still have to add on paypal fees but because it will be my own site there will be no extra listing fee's to add on too yay) so you'll have to keep your eyes peeled in the coming months for the launch of my very own website!! Oooooo how exciting! Just wish I hadn't bought them 2000 business cards as I'm gonna need to add on the web address now too :oS oooooops! lol xXx

Well the day has finally come! As of today me and the lovely Dr are smoking no more! (well that's the plan anywayz lol :oP)
It's gonna be tough cos not only have we decided to quit on a weekend which is when we usually smoke the most, we're doing it 'Cold Turkey' too! :oS lol our friends whose house we go around is sposed to be quitting too (but will have to wait and see bout that one lol) I hope they do as it will make it alot less hard when we're down there.
So why quit now? I hear you all ask! Well.... the plan is that we're both trying to get healthier ready for when we get new jobs cos then we're gonna start looking for our own place (yay!) and then when we've found our lil love nest we're gonna start trying for a baby! :o) YAAAAAAAAY!! lol Afterall we're both 30 this year and not getting any younger lol and I've always said I'd like to have both my kids by the time I'm 35ish so I can have plenty of years watching them grow up and start their own families :o) Plus I think after the 'baby scare' the beginning of this year we both realised how much we'd like to have a baby (even tho obviously at this moment in time its not the best situation lol) cos even though we were abit relieved it was negative we were both surprisingly disappointed that it wasn't positive :o( lol.
So we made a plan that when we both get jobs we're looking for our own place and then gonna spend a few months eating healthier & exercising more, gonna quit drinking and then start trying for our lil baby DrWomble :o) So quitting smoking is the 1st step for me on the road to leading a healthier lifestyle. I also need to start exercising more as I'm becoming lazy through having no job for nearly 12mths :o( but I can start focusing on a proper routine when we get our own place and there's more room to get back into my yoga :o) I also need to work on my diet and start eating more fruit and introducing veg as I don't eat any (I'm doing well I like roast parsnips now and have been eating lil bits of carrot too lol) the lovely Dr sez I must eat more veg when I'm pregnant especially so we're gonna try and find more ways of getting it into me, he did suggest smoothies but it just depends wot we can mix with it so it doesn't taste like veg lol :oP but one thing at a time though eh?! lol at least I have some motivation now to keep me going :o) I'm gonna get to have a lil baby (well we gonna try n e wayz lol) xXx

As most of you know I was made redundant from my job of 6yrs in March and still haven't been able to find a new one as of yet :o( so here's hoping the New Year brings me one. Diary 2011 Project Diary Has Arrived!!

Okies so if you've been following my blog recently you'll know all about the Diary 2011 Project which has been going on for the last few years. It involves crafters from all around the world designing a page for everyday of the year including a link to their shop or page, they are then emailed over and then eventually printed off all together thus creating the Diary Project for that year. I finally received my copy the other day and I designed the December 2011 month page :o) you can see a pic of the finished product in the flesh below........

I really enjoyed taking part and I look forward to taking part again in the future Diary Projects :o) wots even better too is if you take part you can get a discount when you purchase your copy/copies plus if you want to you can purchase them on a disc so you can print off as many copies as you want at a copy shop :o)

Custom Made Christmas Cards

Okies so I was lucky enough to be given 3 separate Custom Card Orders for my Tag Cards (which I was mega happy about!) and I've now finished all 3 :o) the first order was for a set of 12 cards and the lady asked for something with stars in red/white/silver so I created this.....

The 2nd order was for a lady who had a youngish family so she wanted this to be incorporated into the design, she wanted 5 cards and she also wanted them to be cute and fun with reds & whites. So this is the design I came up with for her :o) .....

My 3rd order was for a lady who liked robins and was looking for something to represent her family as a whole. She wanted 8 cards using traditional colours yet with a fun theme. This is the design I came up with for her :o) .....

Every customer was really pleased with their orders and one of them was even from USA! So I've had one of my first international customers too!! Lookout world Kokokelli is on a mission!! If anyone else is interested in a Christmas Card Custom Order please get in touch :o) xXx

New Bulldog Puppies!! :o)

Okies so my gorgeous Dr's lil sis Stacey's Bulldog Missy has had her final litter of gorgeous lil puppies!! There were 9 all together but unfortunately 2 didn't develop properly in the womb and died a couple of weeks into the pregnancy :o( so she gave birth to 7. One had breathing problems and unfortunately died a couple of days ago :o( so she has 6 healthy puppies 5 boys and 1 girl :o) so here are the first lot of pics I promised everyone!! I'll be adding more as they grow up xXx

They came out really nice the only thing I wasn't happy about (me being a perfectionist and all that lol) was the stupid gold/silver paper I bought! Grrrr! I couldn't print my labels onto it cos it wouldn't print right onto it :o( so had to rework them and use the gold/silver paper for backing so not all bad :o) Anywayz here is the unveiling of my card sets and singles just not sure wot prices to charge yet :oS any ideas???

Hmmmmm that’s a tough one. I’d like to say my gorgeous boyfriend the ‘Dr’ lol but sometimes he pisses me right off lmao :oP I dunno really…. I guess sometimes we take our lives for granted a lot cos there’s always someone else worse off than yourself, so I guess I feel lucky that I’ve got my arms & legs and that I can see, speak and hear cos I don’t think I could live without those things.

JaneAustenJewelleryDesign : If money were no object, what would be your ideal place to live/lifestyle choice?

Hmmmmm that’s another toughie lol I haven’t been many places and I’ve only ever been abroad to France and Majorca so I don’t really know wot other countries are like. I also don’t think I could move too far away from my parents while they’re still with us as I’m a family kinda person and would miss them too much. I spose in a fantasy dream I’d like to live somewhere peaceful near a beautiful lake with gorgeous scenery, maybe in a cottage/cabin of some sort with a huge fireplace (and a big fluffy rug ;o) lol)

HartJewellery : If you could have a super power for a day what would it be and why?

If I could have a superpower just for one day hmmmm it would have to be time travel or summet like that (I love Dr Who lol)

I have lots of different tastes really and love lots of different styles so it would probably be a big mish mash of all those lmao I like some modern styles and a lot of retro style shapes and things. But I also love lots of wooden things and carved wood from other countries. I love some of the houses you see on those programs like Grand Designs and the ‘Dr’ has always said he’d like to build us a house one day which would be nice cos he likes a lot of the same things that I do :o)

I get my inspiration just from everyday life really and stuff that I love and that I’ve grown up with.

Considering as I hate sport I’d have to say horse racing I spose cos I do like to have a bet every now and again lol

GelertDesign : Is there anybody's work on Folksy that has made you think "Oooh I really want to try that"?

I love DiomoGlass’s work and that looks like it might be fun to do and I’ve always loved all those kinda tie dye clothes like wot Cheerymishmash makes so that would probably be fun to try :o)

Spjewellery : Do you have any pets and if so what super hero power would you like them to have?

I don’t have any pets anymore unfortunately cos they died :o( I used to have 3 hamsters called Shadow, Willow and Keshi who I loved dearly. Shadow and Willow died while I was holiday in Majorca in 2008 so I dint get chance to say goodbye :o( and then Keshi died in 2009. They were my 3 lil girls and I miss them loads. If I could’ve picked super powers for them I’d have to say super speed for Shadow cos she never used to keep still for long (especially of a night time pmsl), invisibility for Willow cos she was always nervous and jumpy as she used to be mistreated by her previous owner (I adopted her from Pets at Home), and Jeckyl & Hyde type power for Keshi for her Jeckyl & Hyde type personality lmao nice one minute psycho the next heheheh

Ok so I've been meaning to design some sort of Kokokelli Gift Box and decided to make some pillow boxes to try them out. (Well not quite yet I have to wait for my laptop to come back from repair first) but I can give you a taster of what they're gonna be like :o) you can use them as keyrings, bag charms or even just put it on display and I'm sure the Sales Fairy will pop and make you a visit :o) xXx

Well me and my gorgeous 'Dr' had a fun 5 days last week house sitting for his Sister while she went on her hols. It seems everytime we have to housesit there's lil babies for us to look after too lol last year we had 3 puppies as well as her 2 British Bulldogs to look after but this year we had 3 lil kitties to look after :o) tell a lie tho Gizmo (her cat) was a good mommy and did most of the work lol so here they are the lil fluffballs.......... I want the lil black one but I can't have it cos my folks wont allow pets in our house :o( xXx

I was using my laptop the other day and one of the keys wouldn't go down properly so I poked my finger underneath to try and move wot was underneath and the key popped off!!! :oS But I remembered my lovely 'Dr' saying "yeh the keys pop off easily but they pop right back on...." So I'm there desperately trying to get this bloody 'B' key to pop back on, could I do it?!....... could I f**k!!!! lmao so when the 'Dr' came round the next day I got him to have a try and he was like "move out the way noob and I'll show you how its done!"....... and an hour later he's still trying to get it back on!!! pmsl so anywayz this bloody 'B' key isn't having it and as my lovely 'Dr' bought me it for Christmas the warranty is up in 2 weeks (he bought it august last year from Amazon) so now we're trying to find out if we gotta send it back to Amazon or Acer. 'Dr' emailed Amazon and they said contact Acer so I emailed Acer today and now I'm awaiting a reply (god knows how long thats gonna take!!) So looks like I'm gonna be without my lappy for a couple of weeks at the most :o( last time I poke my keys again and next time summet gets stuck under there I'll take the lovely Dr's advice....... "Don't f**kin poke them! Just f**kin blow you foooooool!!!!" lmfao xXx
